How to start an online business is always a big question. With so many different online business models to choose from where to start can be really confusing. Here are some steps to help you start

1. Simple is the place to start, so eBay or amazon are a great choice. Not only can you de clutter the house, but as most people thrust eBay and amazon, it can be a great way to get that first sale.

2. Then look long term, there are so many promises online of the quick kill. Your first million dollars with just one click, without having to work. This is just not true, its a business so like all business it will take work and effort.

3. Start with something you know, better again something you know and love. Thats for you niche, as in you section of the market. You cannot be all things to all people so find a niche thats an inch wide but a mile deep. If you love it, you can learn the system not the content.

4 don’t try and reinvent the wheel. Find a system that someone is making a lot of money form and make it your own. That way you will really make money online.

5. Find one system and make it your own, before you head off to another one. So many people get caught up in the ‘buying fever’ and buy 20 great systems. Then do a bit of one, a bit of another, another bit of another. The result is they have worked very hard but got nowhere. Get one going and making money then do another one.

6. Find out where the money is, in which market and then make a product that this market wants.

7. Don’t jump all over the internet, stick to one niche. As in one section of the market.

Just take it one step at a time and you will be amazed what happens. Fear will raise its head, don’t worry, keep going. The great thing is make your mistakes early on in your business, that way when it grows you will be ready.
